So, I have entered into a world that I said I never would. It makes sense to do it though. I have decided to start this blog to give my family and friends, who are scattered all over the world and hard to keep up with, a way to keep up with us at the touch of a mouse. This, unfortunately, includes my husband right now too. He is currently deployed to Afghanistan, so I figure instead of using our 15 minute phone calls to tell him what we have been doing, he can just check my blog and even see recent pictures of our kids too!
So, let's get to it, shall we?
I feel as if I need to let you all in on some facts before jumping into the events of my day. I am currently visiting my friends and family in Missouri. I felt like I needed a little change of scenery from Florida. Life there is awesome, but a change is always nice too. Besides, this trip gave me something to look forward to while my hubby is away. I got here on July 1 and will be leaving on July 31. My cousin, Karen, will return with me to spend 7 days on the beach. She is totally excited and counting the days. Other than all that, everthing else is still pretty much the same.
Okay, now the highlights of my day:
Today started by calling and booking a cabin in the Smokey Mountains for us to stay in over Christmas. My husband and I have been looking online and sending links back and forth trying to decide on the perfect place. Well, we found it. This place is a 2 bedroom cabin 15 miles outside Pigeon Forge in a very secluded location. It has an AMAZING view of the mountains, a pool table in the loft, outdoor hot tub, 2 fireplaces (one of which is in the master suite right next to the jacuzzi tub...ooh la la), and a perfect sledding hill on the property. We couldn't be more excited for our trip! Not 2 minutes after booking the cabin, Rob called, so I was pumped to tell him it was official. He was really tired when he called since he had been up working for 27 hours straight, so this news perked him right him. I feel so pleased to know that when he calls for moral, I am actually able to provide that to him.
Okay enough of that! After our conversation I got ready to go watch my dad at his flying lesson. Yes, flying, as in airplanes! My dad has recently decided that he wants to learn to fly, so he took the class and is currently working on his 40 hours to get his license. He had invited me and the kids to come watch and he was hoping to take the kids up in the plane even. Well, we were all excited and then his instructor called to cancel. The kids were bummed and so was I. I have to admit that I was really looking forward to it. I am so proud of my father for pursuing his dream, and I was excited to go and show my support. Oh well, we will have other chances to go.
After dinner tonight, the kids went outside to play. Here's some photos:

Well, that about sums up this day. Hopefully, I will more have fun stuff to share tomorrow! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

Welcome to the world of blogging! You'll likely find yourself taking even more pictures of the kids. Not a bad thing.... especially since you have such cute kids!
